Wendy was a competitive, multi-sport athlete throughout her scholastic life and beyond. If you name a sport or an outdoor activity, she’s probably played it, pursued it, or tried it. She has a B.S. in Biology, an M.S. in Phys. Ed. (Human Performance/Exercise Science) and was a former U.S. nationally ranked squash player. She has been a fitness/health professional for over 25 years including eight years as a YMCA Fitness & Health Director and four years as a fitness trainer and physical therapy aide in a rehabilitation setting.
During her career she’s been certified in ten fitness and health specialty areas. She has also served on four different committees for the Town of Westport including as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner from 2002-2010.
For over 15 years, Wendy worked as a personal trainer at Kelly & Company One to One Fitness until it was acquired by Sherpa Fitness in 2013. She’s now pleased to be a part of the Sherpa team. Among Wendy’s specialties are working with older adults and with those who have orthopedic or health challenges.
